James McLeod
I am a member of the Immigration & Refugee Law Committee of the Auckland District Law Society.
I regularly appear in the New Zealand media (including Radio New Zealand and TVNZ) as an immigration expert and present at immigration law conferences and seminars.
Prior to establishing this firm, I worked as a solicitor for a number of years at another leading New Zealand immigration law practice, eventually becoming a partner of the firm.
Before that, I worked as a commercial and property solicitor for an Auckland-based law firm and then spent eight years in London where I gained admission to the England and Wales bar and worked in a number of different roles including as a lawyer and management consultant. As a former migrant myself (transitioning from temporary visas to citizenship in the UK), I understand first-hand the stress and uncertainty that is often involved in the visa application process and the importance of receiving clear, practical and frank immigration advice.
I am an enrolled Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and admitted Solicitor for England and Wales. I am also an accredited Prince2 Practitioner Project Manager and Lean Six Sigma ‘Green Belt’ – qualifications which help me to manage both straightforward and complex types of visa applications and immigration matters efficiently and cost effectively, and to deliver the highest quality of service to my clients.
